This year, 3 calls of the Housing Agency of Catalonia coincide in time: the ordinary call, which aims to facilitate access and permanence in a rental home for people at risk of social exclusion, the call aimed exclusively at the elderly (65 years or older) and the extraordinary call to help minimize the social and economic impact of COVID.
In all cases, it is necessary that the rented home is the main residence and that the person applying for the aid is the holder of the rental contract, the income of the family unit cannot exceed those established in the bases of each call and it is necessary to have the rent domiciled in a bank.
The amount of the aid is a fixed percentage of the amount of the annual rental income, and is calculated mainly based on the income and the number of members of the family unit.
The application period for the ordinary call and the specific call for elderly people is June 4, 2021. There is no application period for grants to help minimise the social and economic impact of COVID.
Applications must preferably be submitted electronically and require a digital certificate (idCAT).
The call for aid for the payment of rent to help minimize the social and economic impact of COVID includes two modalities: aid for the total or partial payment of rental income and aid for the total or partial cancellation of temporary financing aids.
