The Civic Center is filled to the limit allowed by the presentation of the book of the centenary of the Football Club La Granada

The La Granada Football Club began the events to commemorate its centenary on Sunday, with the presentation of the book History of CF La Granada, work of Roger Vives, local journalist and former player of the club.

The event took place at the Civic Centre and was attended by 175 people, the maximum allowed according to the current health restrictions, among which there were a good number of former directors and former players of the club from very different periods.

The journalist Joan Poquí was in charge of leading the event, which lasted approximately ninety minutes, and in which the author explained the process of writing the book.

One of the most emotional moments was the delivery of four books to very significant people: Josep Ferrer 'Ferri', incombustible 'utiller' since 1974; Ramon Martí, great-grandson of one of the founding brothers of the entity; Maria Calvo, widow of former President Pere Tomàs Mata, who was the club's head in three stages; and Francesc Osuna, designer of all the elements of the centenary.

From Monday, the book can be purchased at the Pharmacy of Granada or in the Corner of the Cooperative Winery, for a price of 20 euros, or by contacting some of the members of the organizing committee of the centenary.

The next event is scheduled to take place in July, by Festa Major, with the presentation of the centenary shirt, the club's anthem and the final program of events, which will last until Sant Jordi in 2022.
